For the past few years, Indian homes have quietly shifted toward a palette of beige, grey, and soft whites. Minimalism has shaped everything from sofas to curtains. Homes today often carry a clean, calm, international aesthetic. There is no denying that it looks elegant and composed.
Yet, every time I walk into such a home, a thought gently rises within me.
Where did the colour go?
Where did our vibrance go?
Where did the Indian warmth go?
Somewhere between Scandinavian simplicity and monochrome trends, our homes stopped reflecting who we truly are as Indians. They became quieter, but also less expressive. Beautiful, but sometimes missing a heartbeat.
This is where the story of Coral Slub begins.
The Beginning: A Paintbrush, A Blank Canvas, and a Deep Love for Colour
I am Garima Agrawal, founder of Coral Slub, and at my core, I am an artist before anything else. My journey did not start with a business plan or a market analysis. It started with colours spread across my palette and a paintbrush in my hand, long before Coral Slub existed.
Growing up, art was my safe space. It was how I understood emotion, how I expressed joy, and how I made sense of the world. I would often find myself mixing shades, blending tones, and watching patterns slowly take shape. Those colours always made me feel alive.
Over time, I realised something important.
No matter where technology takes us, no matter how modern design becomes, we can never take colour out of our lives.
Because colour is not just visual.
It is cultural.
It is emotional.
It is part of our identity as Indians.
This belief stayed with me through every stage of life. And one day, it became the foundation of Coral Slub.
Why Indian Homes Deserve Their Colour Back

Travel across India and you will find a country painted in shades no minimalist palette can ever capture. Jaipur glows in pink. Kutch carries deep indigo. Kerala’s white and gold is a symbol of purity. Gujarat’s mirror work shines with vibrant threads. Bengal’s terracotta tells stories of old temples and ancient soil.
Our traditional art forms are a celebration of colour.
Madhubani in joyful reds and yellows.
Kalamkari with its earthy browns and indigos.
Phulkari that bursts with fuchsia, saffron, and maroon.
Pichwai is adorned with lotus pinks and peacock greens.
India has never been pale or muted.
India has always been vivid, expressive, layered, and alive.
So when modern homes began shifting toward neutrals, it felt like our walls and fabrics were slowly losing their stories. The emotional familiarity that colour brings was fading from our living spaces.
This became my inspiration. I wanted to gently bring back the vibrance of India into everyday homes. Not by overpowering modern interiors, but by harmonising tradition with contemporary tastes.
The Coral Slub Vision: Colourful, Artistic, and Thoughtfully Designe
Coral Slub was created with a simple but powerful intention: to celebrate Indian artistry through home furnishings that feel warm, uplifting, and meaningful.
I did not want to create a loud décor. I wanted to create an expressive décor.
I did not want to bring chaos into minimalism. I wanted to bring colour back into its heart.
Through every design, every fabric, and every pattern, our goal is to let Indian homes breathe again. To help households rediscover comfort through colour. To encourage people to mix vibrance with subtlety. To remind them that their home should be a space that reflects who they are.
A cushion is never just a cushion.
A runner is never just a runner.
A motif is never just a design.
Each piece holds emotion, craftsmanship, heritage, and identity.
Designs that Belong in Both Modern and Traditional Homes
Majesty Magenta Cushion Cover, 16" x 16", Pack of 1
One of the most important parts of building Coral Slub was creating pieces that feel at home in any space. Whether it is a traditional living room with carved wooden furniture or a modern apartment with clean lines, our designs are meant to blend effortlessly.
Block printed cushions that sit softly in a reading nook.
A floral runner that adds warmth to the dining table during Sunday lunches.
A mandala-inspired cushion that quietly becomes the centrepiece of a living room.
A chikankari embroidered piece that adds delicate texture without overwhelming the palette.
These are not loud statements. They are gentle reminders of who we are as Indians. They are small touches that turn a house into a home filled with meaning.
We curate our colour palettes carefully so that even vibrant patterns feel modern and balanced. A coral cushion can brighten a beige sofa without feeling out of place. A pastel floral design can add freshness to a contemporary bedroom.
This harmony between past and present is at the heart of Coral Slub.
Indian in Design, Indian in Spirit

Every Coral Slub product comes from a place of cultural pride. Whether it is a Jaipur block print or a modern geometric pattern influenced by traditional motifs, the soul remains Indian.
In every piece, you will find the little imperfections of handwork, the richness of colour, and the feeling of warmth that only Indian textiles can offer. That beautiful imperfection is what makes a home feel alive.
The truth is simple.
We do not make décor.
We create emotion.
We preserve stories.
We celebrate the joy that colour brings into life.
Our Promise: A More Colourful India, One Home at a Time
At Coral Slub, our promise has always been clear.
We want to fill Indian homes with colour, comfort, and character.
Homes are not meant to be perfect.
They are meant to hold memories, laughter, conversations, and comfort.
They are meant to evolve.
They are meant to reflect the people who live in them.
If our designs can make your living room feel warmer, your dining table feel more inviting, or your bedroom feel more personal, then we have done our job.
Colour is more than design.
It is a feeling.
It is a connection.
It is who we are.
And through Coral Slub, I hope to bring that feeling back into your home, one cushion, one runner, and one pattern at a time.
